Questions to ask a wedding DJ before you book.
A short list, with what a good answer sounds like and how I answer each one myself.
Can we hear you before we decide?
You should be able to hear real music, not just a promo reel. My answer: yes, and it is free. After our first video call I record a DJ set made for your night, you listen to it at home, and you decide with that music in your ears.
Do you host, with games and contests?
Know what you are getting. I do not host: no games, no announcements all night. A microphone is always there for speeches, and if the evening needs a few words, I say them.
What equipment do you bring?
Ask about the sound system, the lighting and what happens if the venue has no power. I bring sound and lighting for up to about 100 guests in a discreet setup, and my sound system runs on battery, so I can play outdoors without a generator.
How do you handle requests and songs we do not want?
A good DJ takes a must-play list and a do-not-play list. I do not need a list from you, but anything that matters to you, or that you cannot stand, is taken into account. Guests’ requests tell me about the room, and I listen to them.
What if the dance floor is empty?
You cannot force a dance floor. I read the room and raise the energy step by step, with no dead moment between tracks, so that people find their way onto it.
What if you are ill on the day?
There should be a plan. I commit to finding a replacement I trust, so your night is never left without music.
What is in the contract?
Check the cancellation terms and the payment schedule. With me, nothing is paid before you hear your demo set; then a deposit confirms the date and I send a contract. Details on cancelling and moving the date are written in it.

How early should I book a wedding DJ?
As early as your date is fixed, especially for Saturdays in the summer. Write to me with your date and place and I will tell you whether I am available.
Should we meet the DJ before booking?
Yes. We always start with a video call about you, your guests, the place and the mood you want.
What languages do you work in?
English and Polish, and French is my native language.
Do you travel?
I live near Szczyrk and play mainly across Poland, and sometimes in Czechia and Slovakia.
How much does it cost?
A wedding usually costs 4,500 to 5,500 PLN, depending on the date, the place and the length of the night.
Tell me about your night.
I reply within 48 hours. Then I record a demo set made only for your night, free, before you decide anything.
