DJ or band for your wedding?.
Both can give you a great night. The right choice depends on the kind of evening you picture, not on which one is “better”.
The main differences
A band brings the energy of live musicians and a fixed repertoire of covers. A DJ brings an almost unlimited repertoire and can move between styles and eras without a break. A band takes more space, needs a stage and usually costs more; a DJ fits into almost any place.
Price
Polish price guides for 2026 place a live band well above a DJ, often from about 8,000 PLN and sometimes far more, while a DJ is usually quoted between roughly 1,500 and 8,000 PLN. The best way to compare is to ask each for a detailed offer.
When a band is the better choice
When you want the show of live musicians, with a strong visual presence, and your place has room for a stage and a sound check. If your guests expect a classic repertoire sung and played live, a band is a natural fit.
When a DJ is the better choice
When you want music that follows the mood of the room, moves smoothly from a quiet dinner to a full dance floor, and fits a forest clearing, a barn or a mountain hotel without a stage. A DJ can also prepare the night around you and your guests rather than around a fixed set list.
How I work
I am a musician, but at weddings I play as a DJ: I read the room and build the night from the first note to the last. Before you decide, I record a free demo set made for your night, so you can hear the music instead of imagining it.

Is a DJ cheaper than a band?
Usually, yes. Polish price guides for 2026 place bands well above DJs. Compare detailed offers rather than headline prices.
Can a DJ be as good as a live band on the dance floor?
It depends on the DJ and on your guests. A good DJ reads the room and keeps the energy moving, without a dead moment between tracks. The free demo set lets you judge before you commit.
Do you also play live with other musicians?
Alongside my work as a DJ, I do play live with other musicians in my own projects. At weddings I play as a DJ, and the offer on this site is for DJ sets.
Do you bring your own sound and lighting?
Yes, for up to about 100 guests, in a discreet setup. Beyond that I work with a technical partner.
Can you play at a venue without a stage?
Yes. My setup is discreet and my sound system runs on battery, so I can play in places without a stage or mains power.
Tell me about your night.
I reply within 48 hours. Then I record a demo set made only for your night, free, before you decide anything.
